In early April 2018, the media reported that the Hungarian company Ajax Software LLC had released the digital currency of the citizenship coin (CTZ), based on blockchain technologies.
The new crypto currency, according to its creators, will allow paying for participation in programs for obtaining residence permits and citizenship through investments faster, more efficiently and cheaper. In the future, say the creators of the citizenship coin, consulting companies, developers, law firms and even governments may prefer the criterion as a payment standard.
A limited amount of coin will be produced – 105 million “coins” (52 million from 2018 to 2020). The value of the digital currency is tied to the euro – 1 CTZ = 1 EUR. Citizenship coin can be exchanged for a monetary currency for a commission of 1%.
