USCIS has updated pending applications for Employment-Based I-485 Inventory status as of April 2018.
According to the released statistics, a total 48,190 green card applications are pending at service centers, almost half of it are of Indians. As a result Indians face long waiting times for Green cards.

- All other countries – 17,104
Form I-485 application to register permanent residence or Adjust Status, is used by a person in the United States to apply for lawful permanent resident status.
Green cards through EB-5
As with the EB-5 ( employment based fifth category), there is a backlog of only 615 applications.
