New Zealand offers investor 2 visa scheme for ultra high net worth investors who have atleast NZ$3 million at their disposal.
Experienced business people who have a minimum of NZ $3 million in available funds or assets can apply for New Zealand residence. Before you can apply, we’ll first need you to send us an Expression of Interest telling us about your business experience, investment and settlement funds. If your Expression of Interest is successful we’ll invite you and your partner and dependent children to apply for New Zealand residence.
- Live, work and study in New Zealand.
- Include your partner, and dependent children aged 24 and under, in your visa application.
- Points-based system to assess eligibility for Investor 2 Resident Visas.
- If your Expression of interest (EOI) is selected and we invite you to apply for residence, you’ll have 4 months to send your application.
- Investor visa has indefinite time validity.
- Applicants are accepted upto age of 65 years.
The application costs come around $5500 for nationals of India, China etc. subjected to change for other countries
According to NZ Immigration office updates
- On 17 May 2018, 5 EOIs were selected from the EOI pool which claimed between 35 and 100 points.
- On 31 May 2018, 8 EOIs were selected from the EOI pool which claimed between 20 and 77 points.
- 14, June 2018 7 EOIs were selected from the EOI pool which claimed between 33 and 100 points.
According to statistics, About 860 investor 2 visas have been accepted for the year 2017/2018 by the New Zealand Government.
As of May 2018 about 1528 residence visas are on hand for processing under the investor category.
