Russia and Grenada sign visa-free travel agreement

New York, September 20, 2017 – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of Grenada Alvin Nimrod held talks on the sidelines of the 72nd United Nations General Assembly. The sides signed an agreement on the waiver of visa requirements for mutual visits of the nationals of the Russian Federation and the nationals of Grenada.

“It is very good that on the UN platform we have the opportunity to complete bilateral and international agenda,” the Russian minister said.

He also thanked his colleague from Grenada for the resumption of the work of the country’s embassy in Russia.

“We know that you do not have a lot of embassies abroad and appreciate this decision,” Lavrov said.

Nimrod, in turn, thanked for the meeting the head of the Russian diplomatic mission and the opportunity to discuss the relations between the two countries.
