Chinese and Americans invest in New Zealand golden visas

New Zealand offers High value Investor visas are for investors who want to gain residence in New Zealand. A number of Chinese, US and UK investors have invested in New Zealand according to residence decisions of New Zealand Immigration Statistics Office.

There are two categories of high value investor visas.

  • Investor 1 plus visa  requires NZ$ 10 million over three year period requires no business, age or language requirements.
  • Investor 2 visa requires NZ$ 3 million over four year period.

In 2017, New Zealand increased the investor 2 visa from NZ$1.5 million to NZ$3 million. Recently New zealand adopted laws restricting foreigners buying property in New Zealand
