The Ritz Carlton Hotel, soon to come to St Kitts and Nevis and set to boost the hotel industry and tourism sector and expected to create more jobs in the island.
The proposed 125-room Ritz-Carlton Resort will be located on the beach facing the Caribbean sea in the southeast peninsula of the island and will also include 25 Ritz-Carlton Branded Villas and Residences.
Ritz-Carlton Resort is expected to create 300 jobs on island during construction with a further 250 jobs once the hotel and resort is operational, benefiting the economy.
According to St Kitts Observer, Prime Minister Harris announced during his Feb. 1 press conference that the award-winning Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C., part of Marriott International, will open a Ritz-Carlton Resort in St. Kitts in 2021 on the Southeast Peninsula. The 125-suite resort will include 25 branded villas and residences, as well as a luxury spa, several swimming pools and indoor and outdoor dining facilities.

In Nov 2017, The Park Hyatt hotel recently opened its doors in St Kitts and Nevis.
The Prime Minister during his 2018 Budget Speech also announced, In the first half of 2017,Construction grew by 8.8%, a direct result of the injection of a significant amount of resources to construct several multimillion dollar condo, villa and hotel developments. Some of these developments were the Park Hyatt St. Kitts which opened for business just last month, Koi Resort, Helden Estate, T-Loft/Radisson, and Kings Pavilion Hotel all of which have been facilitated through the CBI Programme.
St Kitts and Nevis has approved about 86 real estate developments under its CBI programme.
