OECD has published a report on how household wealth is distributed in 28 OECD countries.
- Wealth inequality is twice the level of income inequality:
- The wealthiest 10% of households hold 52% of total net wealth
- 60% least wealthy households own little over 12%
Wealth inequality, measured by net wealth share held by top 10% households highest in United States, followed by Netherlands and Denmark.
- The concentration of wealth much higher in US, than in United Kingdom or France.
- Financial wealth is highest in United States, New Zealand and United Kingdom
- Real estate wealth is held highest in Luxembourg, Australia, Ireland, Korea, Italy, Portugal.
