The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) will begin accepting 1900 new applications starting from September 10, 2018, the Quebec immigration ministry (MIDI) has announced.
Quebec passed its new immigration programs on July 18, 2018 publishing in the Gazette. Under the new changes, the investment minimum has been increased to $1.2 million from $800K.
Created in 1986, the Quebec Investor program is the oldest most popular immigration program to Canada.
- Legally acquired personal net worth of $2 million;
- Must have 2 years of suitable management or business experience within the 5 years preceding the application;
- Investment of $1.2 million into a passive government guaranteed investment for a period of five years bearing no interest;
- Intend to settle in the province of Quebec.
The 2018/2019 program will accept 1900 new applications during the period beginning September 10, 2018 through March 15, 2019.
A maximum of 1330 applications will be accepted from China and Macau and up to 570 elsewhere.
Applicants with advanced intermediate abilities in the French language are not subject to quota limitations.
