Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment Programme continues to demonstrate great strength and stability in the investor immigration market, finishing first for the second year running in the CBI Index, a special report published by a Financial Times subsidiary in the UK.
Dominica was awarded perfect scores in 5 of the 7 areas analysed. Referred to as pillars in the report, the Citizenship by Investment Programme outshone its competitors in the following categories:
1. Due Diligence – Dominica has a multi-layered security and vetting process of applicants to ensure only the best and brightest individuals around the world need apply. This includes, but is not limited to, expert advice and guidance from international firms trained in anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing
2. Minimum Investment Outlay – a single applicant can achieve citizenship with a contribution of US$100,000 to Dominica’s future
3. Ease of Processing – beginning in 1993, Dominica’s Programme has benefitted from a well-established framework that streamlines applications
4. Citizenship Timeline – these expert frameworks mean that applications are currently being processed in as little as two months, welcome news for the international businessperson who wants results at speed
5. No Mandatory Travel or Residence Requirements – those applying for citizenship, as well as the economic citizens who are granted nationality, are not obliged to travel to Dominica during the process. This is a welcome aspect of the Programme because it allows applicants to continue to live their busy international lifestyles.
