Dominica and Russia sign visa waiver agreement in New York

Dominica and Russia officially signed terms and conditions of visa waiver agreement in New York.

 

Previously in August, TASS reported Russia endorsed visa waiver agreement with Commonwealth of Dominica.

 

“The draft agreement waives visas for holders of Russian passports valid abroad, including diplomatic and service passports, and citizens of the Commonwealth of Dominica who hold diplomatic, service and regular passports, provided their stay does not exceed 90 days in any 180-day period ,”

According to Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs,  Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Dominican Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Francine Baron on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly in New York on September 28.

 

The Treaty on the Fundamentals of Relations between the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Dominica and an intergovernmental agreement on terms and conditions for waiving visa requirements for citizens of the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Dominica were signed during the meeting.

 

 

The two foreign ministers discussed bilateral cooperation, including the expansion of trade, economic and cultural ties, and exchanged views on important regional and international matters.

 

The value of Dominica passport is expected to go up with this new visa waiver deal for dominica. Dominica offers CBI passport program for $100,000 and is the most popular second passport programs.

 

Here are the list of countries offering citizenship by investment programs (CIPs) whose passports come with visa waiver with Russia

 

  • Grenada
  • St Kitts and Nevis
  • Dominica
  • Moldova
  • Montenegro
  • Vanuatu

 

Malta and Cyprus despite considered being the best CBI passports do not have visa waiver with Russia.
