The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Belarus on the 4th June 2016.
On 19th October 2018, in Havana, Cuba, the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Government of the Republic of Belarus signed an Agreement on Mutual Abolition of Visas.
To encourage and facilitate travel of citizens of and between both countries, holders of valid passports -of all types- of each country will no longer require a visa to enter or transit through the territory of the other.
Her Excellency Verna Mills signed for and on behalf of the Government of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, while Ambassador Aleksandr Aleksandrov performed the honours for and on behalf of his Government.
Both diplomats expressed the hope that the Agreement will indeed result in greater movement/visits/ travel by the peoples of both countries.
Belarus has a population of 9.4 million people surrounded by Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia and Lithuania. About 83.7% of Belarus’s total population and over 70% of population live in urban areas. Minsk is the capital city. Major economic sectors are service industries and manufacturing.
