The Moldova Citizenship-by-Investment program was launched in Hong Kong this Thursday at a high-level panel event organized by Henley and Partners.

Moldova is a charming country nestled between Europe and Asia, Moldova boasts an open culture, a continental climate, and is one of the world’s main wine exporters. The country’s wine-making practices date back almost 5,000 years.
Featuring government ministers, academics, and industry experts, the event was focused on Moldova’s growing prominence in a world transformed by Asian dominance.
Chairing the panel was renowned stock commentator Dickie Wong, who commented on the shifts taking place in Moldova. “Eastern Europe has become increasingly important to China’s foreign policy considerations.
In fact, bilateral trade volumes between China and 16 countries in Central and Eastern Europe increased by more than 15% in 2017.
Moldova’s economy has expanded at a fast pace over the last two decades, driven by consumption and emigration remittances. Moldova is definitely an up-and-coming economy in Eastern Europe.”
Holders of a Moldovan passport have visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 122 destinations, including Russia, Turkey, and the countries in Europe’s Schengen Area.
The minimum investment is as low as EUR 100,000 per applicant, and citizenship is transferable to future generations.
