St Kitts and Albania have signed visa exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, official and ordinary passports. The visa waiver allows mutual visa exemption for citizens of two countries traveling for short stays 90 days in six month period (180 days).
The agreement was signed between Dr Kevin Isaac, High Commissioner of St. Kitts and Nevis and his colleague, His Excellency Mr Oirjako Qirko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania.
Albania and St Kitts established diplomatic relations seven months ago in 2018
This is the second visa waiver for St Kitts and Nevis in 2019, after having signed with San Marino in Feb 2019. In 2018, SKN government signed nine visa waiver agreements in 2018 , making SKN passport more valuable and powerful,
Mr. Mark Brantely, The Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts, said “We look forward to greater people to people contact with Albania as we continue to expand our diplomatic footprint”
The visa waiver agreement is expected to boost trade, investment and tourism between two countries.
St Kitts has one of the powerful passports in the Caribbean with visa free access to 152 countries according to Henley, and in recent years the government showed great commitment in establishing new diplomatic relations and visa waiver agreements with more countries. With each visa waiver signed, adds one feather, strengthening the of SKN passport with visa free access.
The Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, also has active citizenship by investment program requiring USD 150,000 one time payment to the Sustainable fund. It is the oldest CIP in the world established in 1984.
