Montenegro signs contracts with CIP agents, licenses soon

The Government of Montenegro has signed contracts, with agents selected under the citizenship by investment program

 

The three agents were selected  according to the decision made on 13.03. 2019  were

 

  • “APEX CAPITAL PARTNERS” DOO Podgorica
  • “ARTON GROUP” GmbH Austria
  • “HENLEY & PARTNERS GOVERNMENT SERVICES” LTD. Jersey.

 

The State secretariat announced that two contracts have been signed with Arton and Henley on 27th May, while the contract with APEX CAPITAL PARTNERS” DOO Podgorica will be signed next week.

 

The Secretariat for Development Projects is designated as the competent authority for the implementation of the Development Program for admission into Montenegrin citizenship for investment purposes. The Agency has been setup for mediation in the implementation of a special investment program of special importance for the economic and economic interest of Montenegro. On behalf of the agency Dejan Medojević, Secretary of the Secretariat for Development Projects, Government, signed contracts.

 

After signing the contracts, the marketing agents are required to pay EUR 50,000 annually against which operating licenses will be issued. Only licensed agents can perform activities related to citizenship investment program.

 

The State secretariate announced last month, the new montenegrin citizenship investment program will commence for first applications by Q4 once all the licenses were issued.

 

The Government this month selected two renowned due diligence firms were selected to perform checks on CIP applicants. The special citizenship scheme for investments will only run for three years limited to 2000 applications.  Applicants are required to invest atleast EUR 250,000 plus pay EUR 100,000 contribution to development of Montenegro.

 

The Citizenship scheme is expected to receive close to €1bn in investments, bringing significant benefits to the north of montenegro.  Montenegro has ambitious plans to become full EU member state and join schengen area by 2025.
