The Governments of Russia and Antigua and Barbuda have signed a visa waiver agreement in St Petersburg.
The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda PM Browne participated in the signing ceremony for the Visa Waiver/ Visa Free agreement with Russian Foreign Minister H.E Sergei Lavrov, according to a press statements released by Office of the Prime Minister and Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
PM Browne was accompanied by Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister Ambassador Colin Murdoch and Antigua and Barbuda Honorary Consul to Russia, Julien Hansen.
The two countries celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Antigua and Barbuda in January next year.
Once the visa waiver comes into effect, the Antigua and Barbuda passport becomes more powerful passport in the Caribbean. As of 2019, Antiguan nationals have had visa free access to 150 countries according to Henley.
Antigua also offers a citizenship by investment scheme (CBI) with limited time offer offering 50% discount until Oct 2019.
