Antigua and Barbuda launched its Citizenship by Investment Programme (CIP) in Oct 2013, with an initiative is to generate investments and jobs for nationals and to put the island on the road to sustainable growth and development.
Since the launch of the scheme, the Government has granted a total of 3,513 passports under the scheme according the statistics report released by CIU Antigua
.
The report also shows that NDF investments are the most popular route to families acquiring fast track citizenship in Antigua.

Chinese and Russians top the table in applying for Antigua passports for investments since the start of the scheme. Several US and UK nationals have applied for Antigua passports

The report shows that Antigua Government has spent $16 million from the CIP funds on various welfare projects during second half of 2018 alone. Several millions paid for social security, pensions etc.
After Oct 2019, the Antigua Government made the Limited time offer permanent for citizenship investors. Currently Antigua remains the cheapest CIP for families applying as a whole. Note that Antigua CIP is the only program that has 5 day residence requirement when renewing the expired passport.
