The Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment program remains one of the transparent schemes in the Caribbean.
The Antigua Citizenship by Investment Unit has just released its annual report for 2019 on applications and passports issued. Figures show, Antigua expects to break all records in 2019 for passports issued.
Since the inception of the scheme until mid 2019, a total of 2,188 applications received and 4,157 passports were granted under the investment scheme.
A total of 241 applications received for 2019 alone during six month period from Jan-June, averaging 40 applications per month . During this period 96.6% of applications filed for NDF donation option.
Out of the total 2,188 applications received,
- 78.5% received for NDF category,
- 12% for real estate and only
- 9% for business investment.

The data shows the number of passports issued peaked in 2016 then fell and then picked up. Looking at the figures for 2019, the CIP is performing very well and we anticipate Antigua will break all records for 2019.
