The Coronavirus (Covid-19) has become an unprecedented global crisis and even small countries face significant impact, forcing them to implement from border closures and quarantine, to prevent the outbreak of global pandemic.
What is happening with CBI countries with the Covid-19 situation?
We will give you brief summary on what is going on in these countries, as of today. Please note these are only temporary measures enforced on travel.
1. St Kitts and Nevis
St Kitts and Nevis have no confirmed cases of COVID-19 yet

These are the current border restrictions implmented by SKN
- Nationals and legal residents of St. Kitts and Nevis are strongly advised to avoid all non-essential travel to countries or jurisdictions where COVID-19 cases have been reported, and where there is local/ community transmission. Countries include: China, Iran, Hong Kong, Singapore,
South Korea, Japan, the European Union (EU), Switzerland, the United Kingdom (UK) and United States of America (USA), as well as the Dutch and French territories in the Caribbean. - Nationals and legal residents of St. Kitts and Nevis arriving from the aforementioned destinations or any other destination will be subject to entry screening and a mandatory 14 day quarantine period upon arrival.
- International travellers from the aforementioned countries or jurisdictions are strongly advised not to travel to St. Kitts and Nevis at this time as you will be refused entry.
- All non-national travellers arriving from any other international destination:
– Will go through an advanced screening process at point of entry,
regardless of your point of origin;
– Will be subjected to a mandatory quarantine period of not less than
14 days at a Government designated quarantine site;
– Will receive health checks by the Ministry of Health’s designated
quarantine officials on a daily basis; and
– May be refused entry.
Any person found in breach of the terms of his / her quarantine shall be liable on summary conviction to the penalties as outlined in the Public Health Quarantine Regulations (SRO No. 2 of 2020)
In some jurisdictions which host our missions, the Ministry has decided to implement measures to protect our missions, staff and personnel. The work of our missions will continue but all staff have been instructed to work from home until further notice.

2. GRENADA
Grenada confirmed its first covid-19 case on 22.03.2020.
Travel advisory published 22.03.2020
1. Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) and Lauriston Airport (CRU) will close for all passenger traffic from 23 March 2020 at 11:59pm (local).
2.Passengers who have been in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China (People’s Rep.), Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Iran, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Korea (Rep.), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, USA or the United Kingdom in the past 14 days are not allowed to enter Grenada.
– This does not apply to nationals of Grenada.
– This does not apply to residents of Grenada.
3. Dominica
Dominica has one confirmed case of COVID-19 as of today.

4. Saint Lucia
As of March 22, Saint Lucia has a total of two confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The Government of Saint Lucia announces the closure of Saint Lucia’s airports to all incoming commercial and private flights effective 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 23. All airports will be closed to all incoming passengers until Sunday, April 5.
Aircrafts facilitating departing passengers repatriating from Saint Lucia will be permitted. Air Cargo operations are permitted.
5. Antigua and Barbuda
Antigua has one confirmed case of coronavirus (covid-19)

1. Passengers and airline crew who have been in China (People’s Rep.), France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea (Rep.) or Singapore in the past 28 days are not allowed to enter Antigua and Barbuda.
2. Nationals and resident diplomats of Antigua and Barbuda who have been in China (People’s Rep.), France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea (Rep.) or Singapore in the past 28 days are allowed to enter Antigua and Barbuda. Airlines must provide their advance passenger information before departure.
6. Montenegro
Montenegro has two confirmed cases of Covid-19

1. Passengers are not allowed to enter Montenegro.
– This does not apply to nationals of Montenegro.
– This does not apply to passengers who reside in Montenegro.
2. Nationals and residents of Montenegro will be required to self-isolate for 14 days.
7. Malta
Malta has 107 confirmed Coronavirus cases as of 22.03.2020
All passenger flights inbound to Malta will be temporarily suspended after 23.59hrs of the 20th March, 2020.
8. Cyprus
Cyprus has 75 confirmed covid-19 cases.
As of 1:00 am of March 15th, 2020 and up until 1:00 am of March 30th, 2020, entry is allowed only for persons belonging in the below categories:

Cypriot citizens (Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots)

Legal residents in the areas under the effective control of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus
Nationals of European Union member states must present travel documents proving entry form legal points of entry and utility bills proving their legal residence.
Third-country nationals, must present travel documents proving entry form legal points of entry and residence permit in the Republic.

Nationals of countries in a designated diplomatic service or mission, pursuant to bilateral or international conventions
Diplomatic ID or for those who do not hold a diplomatic ID, a non-diplomatic card or certificate of the competent authority regarding the reasons of their presence in the Republic of Cyprus.
It should be noted that in the event of entry to the areas under the effective control of the Government the Republic of Cyprus, the travel advice of the Ministry of Health should be followed.
10. Vanuatu
No confirmed Covid-19 cases in Vanuatu yet
Effective from 20 March 2020:
Vanuatu ports of entry are closed from 20 March 2020.
-Nationals of Vanuatu, permanent residents and diplomats will be allowed to return but will be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival.
-Consideration may be given for Foreign Diplomatic Missions and international organizations and will be determined on a case by case basis.
11. Turkey
Turkey has 1,236 confirmed covid-19 cases as of 23.03.2020

- Nationals of Algeria, Angola, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Cameroon, Canada, Chad, China (People’s Rep.), Colombia, Cote d’Ivoire, Czechia, Denmark, Djibouti, Dominica, Ecuador, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Korea (Rep.), Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Mauritania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Niger, North Macedonia (Rep.), Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan are not allowed to enter Turkey.
- Passengers with a British passport are not allowed to enter Turkey.
- Passengers with a Chinese Taipei (on the cover: Republic of China Taiwan) passport are not allowed to enter Turkey.
- Passengers who have transited or have been in Algeria, Angola, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Cameroon, Canada, Chad, China (People’s Rep.), Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Cote d’Ivoire, Czechia, Denmark, Djibouti, Dominica, Ecuador, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Korea (Rep.), Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Mauritania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Niger, North Macedonia (Rep.), Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom or Uzbekistan in the past 14 days are not allowed to transit or enter Turkey.
- Passengers arriving from Algeria, Angola, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Cameroon, Canada, Chad, China (People’s Rep.), Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Cote d’Ivoire, Czechia, Denmark, Djibouti, Dominica, Ecuador, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Korea (Rep.), Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Mauritania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Niger, North Macedonia (Rep.), Norway, Oman, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom or Uzbekistan in the past 14 days are not allowed to transit or enter Turkey.
- All passengers who traveled to the above restricted countries during the last 14 days are prohibited to be accepted to all flights to Turkey. Otherwise, all passengers on the flights will be quarantined for 14 days.
