The Saint Lucia has announced the CBI unit already moved to remote working platform from March 24, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and from now on all applications can now be uploaded online through the portal.
Here are some of the guidelines issued by CIP Saint Lucia for agents and promoters.
- All applications and supporting documents are to be uploaded on the Unit’s portal. No physical application files or supporting documents are to be submitted to our offices. All applications files and documents should be held safely at your offices and submitted at a later date which will be announced by the Unit.
- Passport photos to be uploaded to online portal and agents must safely hold 2 passport photos at their offices for certificate of registration.
- No physical Certificate of Registration will be issued. The Unit shall issue a letter in lieu of the Certificate of Registration to facilitate the obtaining of the NIC number and passport. A Certificate of Registration shall be prepared and issued at a later time. The Unit has made necessary arrangements with the National Insurance Corporation and the Passport Office of the Immigration Department in the acceptance of a formal letter from the Unit in lieu of the Certificate of Registration.
- The Passport Office remains open for business and at this time
- Oaths or Affirmations of Allegiance must be sent to the CIP Unit electronically by email. Hard copies must be retained by agents.
- CBI unit will also implement online payments within days.
