New Antigua Embassy and Visa waiver signed in Beijing

The Honourable Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, during his visit to China on Jan 23, has officially opened the Embassy Antigua and Barbuda in Beijing, China at the Sanlitun Diplomatic Compound, Chaoyang District, Beijing, according to an official statement published by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Antigua & Barbuda.

Antigua and Barbuda has opened an Embassy in the People’s Republic of China, further burnishing the strong bilateral relations between both states. Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne declared the Embassy open in Beijing on Tuesday, where he also announced that a permanent Ambassador will be posted to the Embassy shortly. Prime Minister Browne is leading Antigua and Barbuda’s delegation to China to attract greater investment to Antigua and Barbuda and deepen trade linkages between both states.

During the visa, a mutual visa waiver agreement was signed between China to further deepen cooperation. Both countries established of diplomatic ties 41 years ago, the two countries have always respected and supported each other, setting an example of equality and win-win cooperation between countries of different sizes.
